Ledges Overlook in Cuyahoga Valley National Park too!

Gina and Chuck were a great couple and it was fun to spend the day with their family and friends!

Gina and Chuck lived in Chicago when they chose me to be their wedding photographer
so we didn’t meet until their engagement session. The session was
in Chicago while they were visiting as they had since moved to Denver.
I’ll post a link of some of those photos at the end of this blog post.

We started at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mogadore for their ceremony in the
outdoor Grotto, then we photographed the couple and bridal party at
the Ledges Overlook which is part of the Virginia Kendall Park area of
the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. From there it was off to the reception
at the Quaker Station at the University of Akron.

Maid of Honor Cindy helps Gina with her dress before the ceremony.

Chuck wrote a touching letter to Gina.

Best man Bobby and the guys waited with Chuck inside
the church before the outdoor ceremony.

Groomsmen Rocco and Gavin found the runway to be a bit troublesome
and everyone helped keep it planted on the ground.

Chuck’s parents Ave and Luc and relative Norma watched as Gina walked down the aisle.

Gina and her father Frank were surrounded by cameras.

Father Tom of St. Joseph’s performed the ceremony in the Grotto which opened in 1927.

I love this moment of Father Tom with the bride’s nieces, Lauren and Evelyn.

The statue of Our Lady stands high in the Grotto.
It’s a replica of the statue in France.

Look at those gorgeous flowers!
Do you wanna bet they smelled soooo good?

As the bridal party was leaving I quickly made this photo
of the 1905 church with its Romanesque and Gothic architecture.

The Ledges Overlook is a gorgeous setting for wedding photos.
It’s part of the Virginia Kendall Park area of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

The reception started with the cocktail hour at the Quaker Station and moved
into their large ballroom. It’s on the University of Akron campus.

Everyone enjoyed Ave’s toast to his son during the reception.

Camille was popular on the dance floor.

Ave and Luce enjoyed a slow dance with the Ovation band.

Bridesmaid Jill had a fun reaction as Evelyn and
Elaina maneuvered on the dance floor.

Chuck’s friend Tony definitely enjoyed himself at the reception.
