Ceremony and Reception at Tom’s Country Place

I was excited to see this happen on the wedding day and pleased that she found a Rolls Royce.

Vicki: “One of my favorite moments that day was getting out of the Rolls Royce to see all of
our guests looking at me. My heart danced with joy and no one knew where I was going to
come from until that moment. When I saw John for the first time, everything else disappeared
and I was locked in on him. Seeing him crying while I walked down the aisle was a moment
I will never forget. I loved seeing his heart and his love for me pour out in that moment.”

We started with the getting ready photos at several nearby hotels before everyone went to Tom’s
Country Place for the ceremony and reception.

Her dress wowed her flower girls, Eve and Kenley and it was fun to watch them looking it over
before Vicki was dressed.

“The dress was completely different than what I initially had in my mind. I didn’t want strapless
or ball gown, but when I tried it on I cried! It brought out the little girl in me that
always dreamt of her wedding day. I had the corset back added in place of a zipper. The
bustle took four girls and 20 minutes to do in the bathroom before dinner! I loved my
champagne lace bodice. It gave the dress a vintage touch which was my initial desired look.
The ruffled bottom was fun to swirl around in on the dance floor. It gave the dress a
feeling of frolic and a garden fairy tale vibe,” Vicki said.

“One thing I always wanted was to wear both a blusher and a cathedral veil. There is something
so romantic and traditional about it that I always loved.”

The couple chose their wedding date as it was her deceased Grandmother’s birthday. She carried
one of her handkerchiefs around the bouquet as she walked down the aisle.

“Thank goodness the rain held off! There was rain in all the surroundings areas. My grandmother
was no doubt looking out for us.”

She was happy to have her brother Jack officiate and said bringing up their parents for a moment of
prayer together was also important to them.

John chose the first dance song “Future Days” by Pearl Jam and took dance lessons for a bit of
choreography as well. He’s a talented guitarist and having a great band was important to him.

Vicki walked down the aisle with her father Frank.

John sings with his cousin Beth and her daughters Kenley and Eve.

Vicki dances with her mother Pat.
